Commended on TAKS

Forgot to add that Laurin received her TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) Reading test and she only missed 1! She earned a "commended" rating. At least we know now that she will move on to the 4th grade.
Hopefully she does just as well on her Math TAKS at the end of April.

Back from Spring Break

Well, we're back from Spring Break in Arizona and trying to catch up on everything that didn't get done while we were playing in the sun. We had a lot of fun watching baseball (Rangers and Mariners), swimming and relaxing by the pool and visiting with our friends, the Konchalskis. Alison even got to catch up with a high school friend thanks to being able to coordinate plans on Facebook.
Laurin had a difficult end to her trip...one by a slight sunburn and peeling skin, and two by catching her earring on the strap of a bag and pulling it out. That "injury" led to the discovery of a possible infection and a visit to the Dr. when we returned on Monday. Needless to say she is done wearing earrings for now. No need to type the gory details here, but if you are interested, just ask her:-) Hopefully this wall assure no other piercings in the future.
Friday we are off to St. Louis for the weekend to attend nephew Aaron's Bar Mitzvah. I am sure there will be lots of pictures to post, though most of the people who actually read our blog will be there:-)

Spring Break!

We're here in Scottsdale loving the weather, the condo, the pool. We're waiting for our friends, the Konchalskis, to arrive this evening. Laurin and Parker will be having a great time once they get together. Soon we should have pictures to post.
No baseball games today, but starting tomorrow Ron and Mark could be hitting the ballparks. All of us girls will probably join them for one game during the week.
